Educate Awards 2016 entries are now open!

Calling all schools in Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire! We are thrilled to announce that entries for the Educate Awards 2016 are now open.

The Educate Awards are the biggest celebration of education in the North West and this year marks our fifth year! It is the one night of the year where the excellence of schools in Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire is celebrated and rewarded in a unique fashion.

With the entries judged and awarded by some of the leading names in education, business and media, the prestigious awards are highly respected throughout the region.

Alongside the 19 established categories, we have added two exciting additions for 2016.

The Most Inspirational 16-18 Education Provider is a new category which is open to school sixth forms, sixth form colleges, and further education or specialist colleges. We are looking for the most outstanding delivery of 16 – 18 education provision for the academic year 2015-16. This is an excellent opportunity for sixth forms and colleges to be recognised for their inspirational and high levels of teaching and learning.

This year will also see the introduction of School Support Star of the Year. This award will recognise an individual within the school setting for their outstanding contribution in supporting pupils, students, teachers and the life of the school. From teaching assistants to receptionists, technicians to business managers, we are looking for the star of the schools support team who consistently goes the extra mile and is an inspiration to others.

Another change to this year’s line-up is the STEM Project of the Year, which has been updated from the Science Project of the Year. This means that the award is now open to schools that have developed not only science projects, but any STEM based project. This can focus on one element of STEM or can be a project that covers all four areas.

All 21 categories aim to celebrate every aspect of the school’s curriculum, teaching and staff. They are free to enter and open to all schools in the Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire so there is no excuse not to take part.

Entering the awards couldn’t be easier. Go to: http://educateawards.co.uk/entry-form to fill in the online application form, or make a nomination by post (Educate Awards Nominations, 36 Henry Street, Liverpool L1 5BS).
