Start your entries for the Educate Awards this spring holiday

With the spring holiday almost upon us, now is the perfect time to spring in to action and start preparing your Educate Awards entry.

While entries don’t close until Sunday 25 June (a date for your diary!) there’s no time like the present to start putting together your award entry.

Shining a spotlight on the very best schools, teachers and support staff, the Educate Awards celebrate the excellence in education across the Liverpool City Region, Cheshire and Lancashire.

For the second consecutive year, the awards is held in association with Copyrite Systems and Ricoh UK, as title sponsors.

From inspiring teachers, superb support staff to innovative projects across the curriculum, the awards recognises the work of schools which are delivering outstanding education and helping students achieve their full potential.

In total there are 21 award categories, from Teacher of the Year and Career Aspiration to School Support Star of the Year and Outstanding Commitment to Sport.

The glamorous awards evening, to be held at the prestigious Liverpool Cathedral on 17 November, puts schools in the spotlight and gives staff the opportunity to shine on our red carpet!

Kim O’Brien, executive editor of Educate Magazine and founder of the Educate Awards says: “We believe that teachers, support staff and governors are no less deserving of the glamorous award ceremonies you see on TV. The Educate Awards puts schools’ achievements in the spotlight, so I would urge every school to submit an entry this year – whether it’s your first time or your sixth!

“The occasion is so special and seeing the reactions and celebrations from winning schools, and the feeling of warmth and goodwill from other schools in the room is so magical. The awards is an important platform to celebrate education so if you’re thinking of submitting an entry for 2017, then please do.”

Headteachers, teachers, parents, governors and anyone who has contact with a primary, secondary school or college can enter the Educate Awards, for as many categories as they wish.
