Educate Awards sponsor and North West based retention and recruitment company, SupplyWell has pledged its support and association with #DiverseEd.
#DiverseEd has fast become an international community celebrating and showcasing diversity, equality and inclusion in education.
Last month, an online virtual conversation was live streamed and viewed by over 12,000 teachers, leaders and educational professionals in one weekend. The online events connect educators who want to share best practice and amplify the voices of visible role models.
Former headteacher, Hannah Wilson, founded Diverse Educators in January 2017 and has since created an ever-growing intersectional community who are passionate about diversity and inclusion.
SupplyWell co-founder, Mike Heverin, said: “We met Hannah last year at a HeadsUp for Headteachers event at North Liverpool Academy and instantly connected. The values that drove Hannah to found #DiverseEd align fully with ours.
“To be an ally to help support and create opportunities for all is so important. There is a lack of representation of BAME leaders and teachers in our schools and #DiverseEd looks to help raise this issue and drive positive change for all”
The event is now available online and is a great diversity CPD resource which can be used to cover landscape, curriculum, culture and leadership.
