Star Performers 2015

Please take a look through the wonderful performances from the schools that performed at the Educate Awards 2015. The paparazzi at the door were Calderstones School Student Leadership Team. The Belvedere Chamber Choir, made up of 44 girls, opened the evening with their heavenly voices when they sang ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ and ‘Hail Holy Queen’. Holly Lodge Girls’ College then took to the stage and performed a great scene from their school’s summer production, a Scouse parody of the Wizard of Oz, called ‘Blowin a Gale’. A solo by Darci Shaw, a Year 9 pupil at The Belvedere Academy, followed with the moving and beautiful piece, ‘Where is Love’ from the school’s summer production of Oliver. The final performance of the evening was from Andrew Woolcock, a former student at Archbishop Temple School when he played ‘Land’ by Takatsugu Maramatsu on the marimba, which was truly spectacular.
