Educate Awards announces Lianne Bradford as new judge for 2024

The prestigious Educate Awards has confirmed that Lianne Bradford will join the esteemed judging panel as a new judge for 2024.

Lianne Bradford is the education manager at Burnley FC in the Community, overseeing the Premier League Primary Stars programmes across various schools in Burnley and the surrounding areas.

Lianne’s extensive background in education spans an incredible 20 years where she has worked in a variety of educational settings, from teaching children from reception to Year 6 to her work as a further education (FE) and higher education (HE) lecturer, teaching Early Years and Childhood Studies on the teaching degree pathway.

As part of her current role at Burnley FC in the Community, Lianne spearheads new initiatives that aim to further engage and inspire children.

At the heart of Lianne’s work is her unwavering passion for education and commitment to positively impacting the lives of children and young people. Her dedication to creating inspiring pathways and commitment to breaking down barriers to education enables her to champion and influence positive change.

Lianne will judge a selection of categories including Outstanding Commitment to Sports in Primary School, Outstanding Commitment to Sports in Secondary School, Mental Health and Wellbeing Award, Community Partnership Award, and Most Inspirational Primary School.

Commenting on the news, Lianne said: “I’m incredibly honoured to serve as a judge for the Educate Awards and celebrate the work of schools, academies, colleges and MATs across the North West.

“My career has been centred around education and ensuring children and young people have access to the best possible opportunities that support their futures, and so I am extremely excited and eager to recognise the achievements of those championing innovation, delivering excellence, and above all, improving experiences.”

Lianne has ambitious plans to introduce science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education to primary schools throughout Burnley, supporting children to embark on their STEM journey from a young age.

Lianne will join the Educate Awards panel of 15 judges, who each bring their own experiences and expertise.

This year, the prestigious awards return to the iconic Liverpool Cathedral on Friday, 15 November, for a night of glitz and glamour.

Entries for the Educate Awards are now open. Schools, colleges, academies and multi academy trusts (MATs), can enter as many categories as they wish, and the awards are completely free to enter.
