Keeping you COVID safe

Your health and safety is our priority. Staff are working tirelessly to ensure we are implementing all the necessary health and safety measures. Expect a well-ventilated space with plenty of hand sanitiser stations, extra precautionary safety measures and plenty of friendly staff to help! Please note, if we do need to make a few more changes to the event, we’ll keep you updated along the way.

This year, we are asking guests to demonstrate their COVID-19 status upon entry to the awards ceremony. To find out more about how to use the NHS App and demonstrate your COVID-19 status, please click this link. This is a very simple and clear how-to-use guide which covers everything, however, if you do have any questions please get in touch.

How will entry into the awards ceremony work this year?

To streamline your entry we will be using both entrance doors into the cathedral and we will have a team of staff on both entrances who will scan your NHS COVID pass, which either shows your vaccination or lateral flow test status, or alternatively, they will check an offline version if this is preferable to you.

Do I need to wear a mask?

As of right now masks are not compulsory to attend the Educate Awards, although we recommend being up-to-date with the government guidelines. Otherwise it will be subject to the government, local authority guidelines, and industry standards on masks at the time of the Educate Awards.

What happens if myself, or a guest, is unwell/have COVID symptoms? Will I get a refund?

If you, or someone in your group becomes unwell with symptoms of COVID-19 or you are asked to self-isolate, we ask that you do not attend the Educate Awards. Tickets are non-refundable but they are transferable.  Please contact our team if you have any questions regarding this.

What safety measures are in place for our staff?

Our employees are COVID-19 trained on how to stay safe and keep our guests safe. They will also have to comply to the same COVID status demonstration as our guests. We are continuing to monitor government advice and will adhere to the relevant guidelines in place at the time of the event.
