Liverpool-based Ed-Tech scale-up, SupplyWell has been recognised by tech growth platform, TechNation, as one of the ‘Top 10 Winners’ of the Rising Stars 3.0 competition.
Rising Stars is a competition for innovative, early-stage tech companies. It is designed to showcase the best the country has to offer and provides a platform for businesses from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to shine bright.
The competition saw five regional winners for each region and nation across the UK, with each one being individually selected by a panel of industry experts, and are regarded as tech leaders within their respective regions.
The recognised companies then competed nationally with SupplyWell being named as one of Tech Nation’s 10 Rising Stars.
The company were proud to receive the recognition as part of a national competition, and looks forward to the exposure this will bring.
The achievement means that investment opportunities are heightened for SupplyWell, and solidifies the ‘tech for good’ company’s place as one of the strongest tech organisations on the rise in the region.
This achievement follows hot on the heels of a £100k ‘Innovate UK’ government grant SupplyWell received earlier in the year to help revolutionise the way schools hire supply teachers.
Michael Heverin, co-founder and CEO of SupplyWell, said: “To be one of the top five early-stage scale-ups in the North West was a fantastic achievement for us, but to be named as a top ten national winner is fantastic and follows nicely from just being awarded an Innovate UK grant. We are serious about the problems we are solving in education and this will enable us to help even more schools, teachers and students.”
Co-founded by a Merseyside trio consisting of former teacher Michael Heverin, alongside Raina Heverin and Dan Price. SupplyWell was created by teachers for teachers, ensuring the happiness of educators and supply staff is at the forefront of their ethos.
The company also endeavours to help schools retain money through using their innovative tech platform which saves schools significant sums of money, reducing teacher absence, while improving teacher pay and wellbeing.
SupplyWell already has made a positive impact on dozens of schools in the Liverpool City Region and has high aspirations for further regional growth.
